Annie (2014)
So, I haven't seen the original version of this movie, BUT what I can say, is that it was an absolutely BEAUTIFUL version of it. The fact that, for one, they made it an African-American movie, which I found was brilliant, in the sense that the director did not try to make an exact copy of the original movie.
Something else I found, is that (again, not having seen the original) they made the movie in modern times as well. It's one thing to see it as it was, but it almost makes it it's own movie and I can tell that the director put his own touch to the film.
Cameron Diaz I found gave a great performance as the mean foster parent, with an interesting twist towards the end. Jamie Foxx also gave an astounding performance.
The decor in this movie is really great (especially the apartment of Mr. Stacks, Foxx's character). The piano??? WOW!!! Just fell in love with it! The whole apartment, actually. And how adorable is our little Annie?? VERY!!!!!
This is very much a family movie, very entertaining, very touching and inspiring.
